By economically and responsibly utilizing resources and producing durable quality products, we make an important contribution to preserving our environment. We are committed to ecological sustainability and the preservation of biodiversity, thus conserving the natural resources of our planet.

Durable GIFAS Products

Durability and resource conservation are at the heart of everything we do. To achieve this, we create and distribute products that serve our customers for a long time, benefiting the environment.

Photovoltaic System

We are now proud owners of a photovoltaic system. 108 solar modules generate up to 41 kW at peak times. This allows us to save approximately 25 tons of CO2 emissions each year, which is equivalent to the carbon storage capacity of 2,000 beech trees. Our goal is to generate 70% of our electricity needs through the photovoltaic system, which protects the environment and reduces our dependence on fossil fuels.

Efficient LED Lighting in Offices and Workshops

Gradually transitioning to energy-efficient LED lighting reduces power consumption and improves the well-being of our employees. It creates a glare-free workspace, thereby supporting their health and long-term performance.

Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles

By switching some company vehicles to electric drive and installing our first charging station for electric cars in the employee parking lot, we are taking another step towards improving our CO2 footprint.

Flower Meadow with Own Beehive

To promote biodiversity, we have replaced the lawn areas on our premises with flower meadows and established our own beehive. Bees are essential pollinators for the diversity of our blooming nature and the world's food resources. Our bees are well taken care of by a hobby beekeeper from the GIFAS team, and as a pleasant side effect, we produce our own GIFAS honey.

Sustainable Paper Consumption

Paper is a resource used and consumed in every company. We strive to minimize paper consumption to the necessary minimum and have already saved 40,000 pages of paper annually through a digitization project, making an important contribution to climate protection.

Environmentally Friendly Logistics

Wherever possible, we ship a large part of our goods with CO2-neutral delivery through the Austrian Federal Railways, Post, and GLS.

Social Responsibility

Especially in difficult times, it is important to be there for others. At GIFAS, we also want to contribute and support organizations such as the Social Aid Service Eugendorf, Sonneninsel Seekirchen, Volunteer Fire Department, Mission Hoffnung, and more.
